Wladimir Klitschko shut the gut out of David Haye as he unanimously won on decision the unification bout for the heavyweight titles last night in Germany. The hype made by Haye to upset Klitschko did not materialized as expected. The Ukrainian champion kept the Englishman at bay with crisp jabs and combinations. Haye was not in the mood to fight back. The Klitschko brothers now holds all the heavyweight division crowns.
Wladimir Klitschko and David Haye will slug it out in the unification bout for WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO and The Ring titles at Imtech Arena, Hamburg, Germany on July 2 (Saturday).
Klitschko is the IBF and WBO heavyweight champion with a stunning record of 55 wins (49 KOs), three losses and no draws. The Ukrainian champion is known as Dr. Steelhammer because of his punishing jabs that can shut the lights off his opponents.
David Haye is two-time division champion with a record of 25-1 (23 KOs) and known for his blazing hand speed and power. He promises to upset Klitschko despite of the weight and height disparity.
